I understand that Facebook remains the most active social site, but if they keep a presence in MySpace (which seems to be declining in popularity) I don't see why they don't have a presence in Google+ (which should be ascending in popularity).

We're debating whether to keep MySpace going or not. It's a real headache to operate since they changed it but there's still people using it. Lots of social networks to run and keep a track of everything sanely. the church Official Website, Merchandise site, Newsletter, MySpace, Twitter, Youtube, ReverbNation, Facebook, Church Army, Songkick (have I forgotten anything?) Columbus Posts: 977 (02/20/2012 23:32) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I just realized today (I was posting a pic of my newish turntable with my Starfish 1988 vinyl by its side) that even if you get results for the church band when you search for that term (or even for just "the church") in Google Plus there is no hashtag associated with #thechurchband Since G+ has become big on tags (following twitter showing their usefulness) and it suggests autocompletions for terms I believe we should change this situation. Given the band's website and that they are @thechurchband in Twitter I think the hash tag for the band should be #thechurchband and I ask that other fans that have joined and post in G+ try to use that tag. When enough people use it enough times I hope that Google will start indexing it as a regular tag, and it's one that would help us fans find posts and content related to them. BTW, who else is in Google plus? I know that +Holly Jordan, +Ann Barnes, +Noel Riddell and +Jim Schrader (and +Fernando Rodriguez, i.e. me) are there, and I'd be glad to have other fans of #thechurchband in my circles.

Mind if I repeat the suggestion of using the hashtag #thechurchband (or any other distinctive tag you and the band approve) so that topics about the church can be found more easily? (that hashtag I suggested is already autosuggested by G+, but I think it's not so widely used). Also, if you will moderate the page and keep an eye on G+ for the church band, you may want to make sure that people can +mention you by name (so you get notifications when someone wants to share something with the band via you), although if you monitor the +mentions of the band page it may not be necessary. I've already added the band (and you) to my circles, looking forward to whatever you post.
