Still buzzing from seeing another in the running for show of the year for me along with the BB King's Future Past Present and Black Ships first and only show in London. I got a great surprise in seeing BSL at this their 2nd show ever, the band has memebers of the Chamsvox, amazing drumming talent John Lever and one of their guitarists. Studio BSL has Mark Burgess on it but he just watched them intentely. Finally seeing the Chameleons after loving them for over 20yrs was almost too much to take. The show started and stopped after about a minute, the drum monitors went out and John stopped mid-song. Talk about a buzz kill! After a short pause they were up and running through most of Script of the Bridge. I had gotten the ok from Mark Burgess to record the show, see below, and on review the bass is painfully out of tune, like every 3rd note. I didn't hear it during the gig but it's like a bad tooth you cannot stop hitting, painful! One thing is both bands used the same bass and it broke a string at the end of BSL's set so maybe it didn't get tuned up correctly. BTW Mark Burgess just sang and did not play bass.
