20 songs of Sometime Anywhere-sessions will have matches against each other during 19 rounds.
Original album had 13 songs and I wanted to have at least 1 to make it even number of 14 but then thought why not have them all and make it 20?
This could be interesting because of the many stories about which songs should or should not be on the album.

Rules are:
- Copy/paste the match list
- Delete the loser and leave the winner
- Updates in mondays and thursdays
- The match lists of older rounds will be striked like this: Angelica - Business Woman. Do not vote those.

I'll be interested to see what the championship's choice of a top 13 is and which songs (if any) off the official album fail to make the cut.

I found many choices this round really tricky.

Angelica - Business Woman (nil-all draw)
Two Places At Once (v. close, both very elegant songs, I gave it to TPAO because it is more innovative)
The Time Being (another toughie, I reckon both these undeservedly exiled tracks are great in their own very different ways)
Day Of The Dead
Drought
The Maven
Fly Home
Freeze To Burn (I find the album version of MLP a bit sleepy, like Steve's A+I version more)
Macabre Tavern (ha!)

The following should not have been paired, each is great in its own way:
Authority - Two Places At Once
The Time Being - Cut In Two
Eastern - The Maven
Choosing one between those pairs means eliminating a great song and leaving behind lesser ones in other pairings.

Nothing is eliminated. This will go on for 19 rounds and all songs stay until the end. See previous championships, like MATS, how it works. This is not a cup-system.

Sometime Anywhere feels a whole lot better album than MATS. There isn´t that many songs to skip and the whole feeling is not so depressing and claustrophobic.

The most difficult choice here for me was between "Authority" and "Two Places at Once"...

most Church albums, i've listened to hundreds of times over the last 25 years; but a couple, like OSAH and SA, i'm not sure i've ever listened to all the way through more than a couple times. just haven't been able to get into them. so this will entail not a reappraisal, but a first real appraisal.

Long and thorough Sometime Anywhere championship was started with 13 votes. All songs except one got votes, which is a good sign. Only Angelica was beaten badly in a catfight by a mean and lean Business Woman. Authority took one vote win from TPAO. Drought also took a similar one vote win from Lullaby. Many Somewhere Else- bonus songs performed well at first round and that promises surprises in the end of the championship.
