My original Hotel Womb username was Ann B. I got locked out of that account twice due to our lovely former bulletin board system's glitches, so I pulled out a few Church CDs and picked the most anonymous-sounding song title for my username. Hey, if I can't be myself, I CouldBeAnyone.

"Sleepycat" is the username I have used for many years on another forum that I moderate and also used prior to that on Usenet. The sense in which it retains ongoing meaning is in my basically amiable-until-sorely-provoked nature (a sleepy cat still has claws!) The actual derivation, however, was a remark by a previous partner sometime in the late 90s that I looked like a "big black sleepy cat". These days I am more likely to look like an even bigger balding black and brown scruffy cat so that sense is thoroughly obsolete.

I've started with froggy as username before the 2002 bug and I'd like to change my username because Oceanic Blues sucks. I've tried to combine Oceanic from "Is this where you live" lyrics and Blues(the music) but i don't like it.

At the time I figured that chrome was one of the most common materials of the churchy universe, chrome injury, chromium, invisible...3D was something to make it more unique and having 3D-modeling as part of the name. The days of showing reflective chrome balls on a checker board table as part of the 3D-modeling portfolio were not that far behind either. I also somehow thought that Google Chrome will some day go 3D and there will be a browser called Chrome3D. Then they will have to pay me million dollars for the name. Too bad that the technology hasn´t been that fast.

My current username is a nerdy pun on Avogadro's number (6.22x10^23 the number of particles in a mole).
When you have that many avocados that's Avocadro's number. What can I say, I'm a nerd, and a chemist! But once I had a (churchy) name, forgotten now (deleted actually, and a certain band member uses it now) Funny thing is that I created this account to test a problem with ezboard accounts (the precursor to yuku), back when I spent more time here and was a moderator. After I decided to delete the timebeing identity I saw no reason to create a new one with a Churchy name so I just kept using this one. My name was never Church-related because I felt that it was important to have someone real behind the board. My title of Pharoah came from the misspelling on my copy of GAF. I'm glad other people mostly used fun names!
