Anybody seen this yet? Is there anything to attract the long term fan?

The official site has it for sale without a track listing. The only way I would purchase is if it had the radio edits/remixes that were different to Deep In The Shallows. Good to see some releases to celebrate 30 years. I wish it was a proper remastered box set, but at least everything is in print and being re-released.

![]() 2010 is a milestone year for the church – one of the best loved, enduring and most innovative musical outfits ever to come out of Australia. This year, the church celebrates its 30th anniversary together, which is set to perfectly coincide with the band’s formal induction into the ARIA Hall Of Fame on October 27. In recognition of these historic events, EMI Australia – the church’s original record label – is proud to announce the release of a new “best of” church collection on Friday October 22, the first such set to cover the entire length and breadth of this internationally-lauded outfit’s remarkable career. The Best Of The Radio Songs features 17 cuts that span the church’s body of acclaimed studio creations. All of the band’s major releases are represented, beginning with “The Unguarded Moment” from the church’s debut album, 1981’s Of Skins And Heart, and all the way through to “Deadman’s Hand” from the band’s most recent studio release, 2009’s Untitled #23. It’s one classic song after another: “Almost With You”, “Tantalized”, “Under The Milky Way”, “Reptile”, “Metropolis”, “Ripple”, “Comedown”, “Numbers” and many more – 17 classic hits and modern gems from the annals of the church. --------------- Really odd that they release another comp exactly at the same moment as Deep In The Shallows gets another release with Deadman´s included too. I don´t think there is anything new. |

probably (i hope!) they have an ok publishing deal...
i don't have DITS, and i most probably don't need another compilation. but it's nice to see it's out on a major (advertising?). "best of the radio songs" is such a completely idiotic title... LOL! nice it covers the entire "length and breadth", i also like the "depth" and the "fourth dimension"... what's next? "Steve Kilbey sings 16 classic golden greats for you"? |

Including Loveblind and Don´t You Fall in to this track listing sounds pretty bold or inspired or just crazy. Good to see them trying other tracks every now and then. I think Operetta would have been a better closer here.
