Hi All,
Hope your all well...
Last night, Steve played a short gig in Melbourne as part of the Melbourne Writers Festival - http://www.mwf.com.au/201...asp?name=authors-KilbeyS
He was the 2nd act, sandwiched between the lovely Lisa Miller and an act called Little Miss X (who I didn't stay for). So he only had an hour or less to sing some songs and tell some stories about them (it is a writer's festival).
Steve looked uncomfortable to begin with, but that soon melted away and he looked like he'd never been happier to have fans calling out for songs which he incorporated into his set. He was prepared with a list of short songs (under 3 minutes) and referred to it and then diverted from it.
Songs played included (not in order): Almost With You, Othertime, I Thought That I Was Over You, Into My Hands, An Arrangement, Providence, Wolfe, Forever Lasts for Nothing, Ancient Worlds (new?), Nothing Inside and a T-Rex cover.
All in all a pretty great setlist. And seeing the audience really enjoying the song choices and the stories, was lovely. It was a room full of love and no one wanted it to end. What more can you ask for...
