Yes, yes, they have quality. They don´t have that many artists who disappear without a trace. Maybe I have to push the like-button in Facebook many times.
![]() Simon Raymonde, a genius of a label boss. He has single handedly given me almost more than your average global major entertainment corporation.

he, "Bella Union" is already a safe mirandum stock phrase. Just like "4AD", "SubPop", "Creation", "Mute" and "Motown", you definitely know what to expect

I was completely unaware of Bella Union until the Howling Bells entered my radar. Still have to dig through lots of the artists and albums they released, but so far I haven't found anything I didn't like. So far, Laura Veirs new album is definitely one of the top five albums of 2010.

I´m totally in love with "A Lily Of the Spectre" by Stephanie Dosen. I have played it every now and then but now it feels just irresistible. It´s like an album Bella Union was made to do. I wonder what has happened to Stephanie lately because her website is down and her latest MySpace-blog is from early 2009. I hope she does more stuff some day.

Having spent 2008 touring as lead singer with Massive Attack, this year saw Stephanie and Simon Raymonde (Bella Union boss and former Cocteau Twin) start a band called SNOWBIRD. A residency at Union Chapel, a tour with Loney Dear and covering “Goodbye Blue Sky” for Mojo’s forthcoming Pink Floyd covermount, all followed. Now, Stephanie is writing for her second solo record for Bella Union, and recording the debut Snowbird album. ------------- Huh, now that sounds lot better. Snowbird might be an album to wait next year.
