What kind of plug it is to say that you can mostly forget about Holly? Is it just me or why I was thinking that this was some kind of Church sideproject based on the names? Posts: 5900 (04/01/2010 05:55) Faith Healer Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	most reviews didnt really like it, because the production guy's production is the starring actor on this CD. and by toutatis, it's an amazingly constructed cathedral of bliss n beauty. holly is actually but one of the instruments. it's the guy from TV on the Radio... it was heavily plugged in london's rough trade shoppes, and i usually trust them. play it a few times, there is so much to discover. if you really need another musical realization of "meticulous", this is it. ...because strange is what we need The Fandorin Foto Files

I remembered enjoying it and I thought 7 euros might be well spent here. It´s still a strange little album. Holly writes and composes all songs but still disappears somewhere in the wonderland of Sitek´s dream pop architecture. I was maybe wrong before, she blends to the background in a strange way. Maybe it´s the effects on her voice that make her even more distant than what she is. Does it really matter, I don´t know. At the moment Holly has her new Ep and stuff available from pledgemusic.com. You know, the site where fans finance artists new albums. She also makes chocolate, t-shirts and stuff. Thing is, I don´t know if she has much to offer just by singing and strumming an acoustic guitar based on listening to Magicians Private Library. Forest Green, Joints, Waves, Sweet Dreams and Sleep On Fire are my faves so far. The first 3 tracks flow like a dream. Now I have started to have some more admiration to Sitek.
