I went with Post Punk as well, although at the time they seemed to me as normal Australian rock.
I guess to me it seemd that this music was in the company of bands around at that time like The Radiators or The Sunnyboys and even the Chiorboys, which in itself was a sort of depature away from bands such as Cold Chisel, Angels and Midnight Oil, even though all these bands had that suburban feel about them.

Yet I would not have considered them as New Wave, as in my opinion (which is of course debatable) that was more reserved for bands like The Allnighters (well more scar there) or the Go-Betweens and Kids in the Kitchen, but then I guess my my thoughts is that what I percieve to be Post Punk and New Wave in Australia would have had many overlaps.

To me when I first heard OSAH, I was living in a street in Brisbane full of punks, Skinheads and Flano shirt wearing (that's probably me) suburbanites, and when I played this album at partys and whenever people in the street filtered in, it fitted in easily.

I think OSAH was far superior to the Radiaters and The Sunnyboys and such at that time, but is very hard to catorgorise under one heading, loved the guitar, the suburb rock garage feel, and the artiness (best way to descibe the feel I got then), or should I use the word experimental to suit more, cause it was definitly refreshing and new, yet at the same time, very familar, ha, how does that work.
