1. Operetta
2. Silhouette In Meltdown
3. Moon Hangs In Black
4. Particles Matter (instrumental)

1. Operetta was the song I played the most in 2009. It was the soul song of the year. Silky smooth and gentle. Loved it straight away and I still do. A perfect choice for a "single". 5/5
2. Perhaps a little bit too "straight" song for the kaleidoscope that was U#23. A simple big wave of a riff to drive most of the song. No good for the album but perfect for a b-side! Layers and layers of guitars and stuff for the headphone experience. A full song but still a page from the sketchbook. SK wanders around the land of unicorns, ancient romans, aliens and 666 zeros in a free talking rap-style, not concerned if every line fits perfectly. 3,5/5
3. The ambiental chill out piece about moon and trees and all the beautiful around us but still in black. Instantly lovable to me. The churchy atmosphere all around the place. The kinda song they could do in their sleep I guess, but still I have to remind myself that it is possible only for them no matter how many times they do it. I could almost see this in U#23, lot more easily than Silhouette. Somewhere between tracks 4 and 8 maybe. Near Angel Street but not side by side. 4/5
4. The loooong jam for the die hards only. I have yet to go through it once in all it´s glory. It can wait as the two other songs were just like the ones I was waiting for. ?/5
I like the way how they construct their EP´s like albums. Just like Pangae EP this is a full experience. Catchy single - straight rock - chill - rock rock all for one, one for all. 50 minute ep offering all the sides of the band in one package. The quest for excellence continues, but in a loose b-side format which is more than cool to me.

I just got this today on I-tunes. I am so happily surprised by Particles Matter. This is their best damn jam instrumental yet and I can not beleive there has not been more talk about it. The song is very tight and focused, unlike many of their other more free flowing jams. And it is just a great showcase of their talents as musicians. I would have paid 10 dollars for this one song. Moon Hangs in Black was just icing on the cake, though. I may have to start a thread on the Feast, but I can think of no other band i n history that has a b-side collection of songs as good as the Church's.
