12 songs. First I secured the artists and then found suitable songs for them.
Johnny Cash has to perform from the grave but I guess that can be arranged. Besides it sounds so fitting. I have to do another too, but this is just a little different. This production is not only a tribute album, it´s also a glossy Vegas-musical show. The songs
will be sung by some of the most succesful artists of today. For the sake of unity all songs are interpreted by women. Of course it would be too expensive to
have all big stars at Vegas all the time, so the singing parts will come from big screens at the show. There will be dancers, skaters, bicycling bears,
magicians, lightshow etc. The main idea of this show is to score as much money as possible.
May I present to you: Under The Milky Way Tonight- Show! 1. Leona Lewis: Under The Milky Way Predictable opener by a predictable singer 2. Celine Dion: Metropolis Big song belted out by the gift of Canada 3. Madonna: Song In Space With a fun and nice Beautiful Stranger- vibe 4. Alanis Morrisette: Reptile Acoustic Thank You India version 5. Pink - Maybe These Boys Irritating song by an irritating singer 6. Christina Aquilera: Tristesse Dirrrrty version 7. Amy Winehouse: My Little Problem Touching version with a deep understanding 8. Beyonce - The Unguarded Moment A glossy R´n B workout 9. Britney Spears: You´re Still Beautiful A straight feelgood pop number before the closer 10. Under The Milky Way climax. All the previous singers join in the song and it will be backed by the biggest symphony orchestra UNDER THE MILKY WAY!

The production of this album was delayed when a flood of artists began clamoring to be involved.
What was slated to be a little indie release was suddenly given a big push from an anonymous donater from England. John Paul Jones was brought in to produce the 6 tracks recorded at David Gilmour's studio. It quickly grew into a double album. 1. Trashcan Sinatras: After Everything Now This (a very lush rendition) 2. Badly Drawn Boy: Night of Light 3. Natalie Merchant: Louisiana 4. Paul Weller: Fly Home 5. David J. / Max Eider: Myrrh 6. Prefab Sprout: Tranquility -flowing right into- Pangea 7. The Sundays (returned to the studio for this album): A New Season 8. Lloyd Cole: Monday Morning 9. Stone Roses (patched it up to record too): See Your Lights 10. XTC: Dead Man's Dream 1. Innocence Mission with Jake Shimabukuro: Invisible 2. Paul Weller (again!): No Certainty Attached 3. I listened So Love May Find Us again and thought if I could see Scott Walker singing that. Yes, yes. I can definitely see SLMFU now as a Scott-track!
Have to chew on camel´s suggestions but Doves:June sounds so natural.

Fleet Foxes - Telepath
I was thinking about Fleet Foxes but couldn´t find a song for them, but you got it thetawave. Telepath would be just the right song for FF harmonies and acoustic guitars. I was thinking it in a typical Song In The Afternoon direction but there was no ahaa-experience.
