They are quite wonderful, and there are a number of great numbers. Her solo work has become very interesting and she has really grown in her solo work. I had seen her live (in the same venue where The Church performed in New York). In many ways I see parallels between Siouxsie and her career and The Church. They are both clearly gifted at a lyric level, highly intelligent, non-conforming inovators, and have had long careers. There have been the same fan expressions positioning them near the Beatles

Columbus Posts: 706 (10/23/2009 01:58) Glow Worm Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I saw her perform at the first Lalapalooza festival, in 1991 or so. She played in the middle of the day, not a great spot in the line up, but I still regard her time on stage as the high point of the show. I knew her name well, but hadn't actually heard any of her music at that point. Still, she came out and put on the most amazing, energetic performance. The crowd, most of whom seemed to be there for Living Color and Jane's Addiction, were skeptical at first but then got really into it. I have this very vivid memory of everyone throwing empty plastic water bottles up into the air while one song was going on and on. There were so many bottles being thrown up that it looked like they were just floating, spinning above our heads. I've been a fan ever since. I really like Creatures too. You might want to check out The Glove -- guy from The Banshees and Robert Smith from the Cure. Of course Siouxsie has a much nicer voice...

I'm so over gothy porcelain doll singers caterwauling on stage. Sioxsie Sue was just a pair of boots away from being the artsy kid sister of Gene Simmons. Stilted phrasing in most of her songs aside, I totally dug 'Peek-a-Boo' and 'Kiss Them For Me' even if they were the poppiest, most accessible songs in the S&tB canon. across the endless sky we are deployed

"Kiss Them For Me", "Shadowtime", "Dazzle", "Hong Kong Garden", "Peekaboo", "Face to Face"...the whole of "Hyena" and "Juju"...2 utterly brilliant singles collections... "Kiss Them For Me" still sounds like a crazily sparkling hash lemonade...and "Shadowtime" is one of my favourite songs ever. ...because strange is what we need The Fandorin Foto Files
