Hey folks,
I have a couple of ads on other sites b/c I'm single so, I'm "looking" & I'd like to ask, is it wrong to literally wait for a man to e-mail me first?
Is it too old-fashioned? I just was brought up in that, if a man is interested in a woman that much, he'll do everything & anything possible to approach her, meaning, he loves her "that" much he'll want to provide & take care of her. I know that's a very OLD perspective at my age but, when you've been accustomed to it by family member's suggestions, things tend to "stick".
Would it be missing opportunities by using this somewhat "chilvarous approach" & literally waiting to see if people e-mail one back?
One site I'm on, I've had a lot of people read my profile & they're even listed as such so that, I know who they are, so it's like after that then, what am I supposed to do?
However, I have not had one man off that list e-mail me. I am wondering if I've said something wrong in my profile or seriously, do looks matter?
I believe they do & in that area, shoot...I'm doomed
Yet, on the other sites, ALL of the men that have viewed me initially now have been e-mailing me & funnily enough, the site that I have not had e-mails from I paid the MOST for, figure that?!
Is there anyone here on this website single & going through this that can familiarize or assist me on what I should do about approachability or just wait "for things to happen" (as my family says)?
Seriously, I don't know any of you as much as you don't know me but sometimes, a stranger's clues & thoughts do help. I'm not asking for a marriage proposal on these either, just to go on dates for the weekend & see where life takes us...b/c I don't believe in soulmates, true love or love@ first sight.
Thanks in advance for any advices you can provide.
