Posts: 5335 (01/27/2009 22:27) Faith Healer Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : movie Remove this ad I´ve been watching the double-disc version of Wall-e for quite some time and it´s a very good movie. Second disc offers some goodies for kids and there seems to be a 3-disc version too. This has perhaps some of the best Pixar-stuff so far and I´ve seen them all except that Rat-movie. The part where Wall-e goes to a spaceship of fat people is a bit silly but the parts with Wall-e alone in garbage world are just superb. Last Edited By: fandorin 09/15/2009 09:14. Edited 2 times.

Photography/Camera: 10/10 - you can't do it better Plot and dramaturgy: 5-6/10 There's just too little going on. Or - it is just a film about some procrastinating boys playing in a band. If the goal was to picture the emptiness of Curtis' life, the living in ancient ugly flats, it's a success, but then it's be a pretty banal boy marries girl, loves another, is ill and kills himself story. Still, a fantastically filmed flick, just surprisingly little music. The actors did a GREAT job actually playing the music and I wonder where they made that Bernie Albrecht clone... The best thing was seeing how your dark post punk heroes were actually living - in the cabbage-scenting flats of their parents ...because strange is what we need The Fandorin Foto Files

It´s a bit too much to claim that 45 mins. is a feature length but still it was good. Probably the best Bob-DVD I have seen. Sorry, but this is the stuff I mostly see... It was stupid and firmly in movie-reality but Tarantino has balls to keep the scenes going as long as it´s needed. It´s a 1:30 hour movie but it went on for 2:36 because the scenes just go on and on. Just like the talk happens in real life which is unusual in movies. Sometimes the conclusion of one scene, and there wasn´t that many of them, was evident early on and then it was over in a snap. It had so different kind of use of time than other current movies and that makes it special. Can´t wait for the hammy Hitler-scenes of this film to replace Der Untergang in Youtube joke section. Le Crime de Monsieur Lange...plot here from Wikipedia: Imbued with the spirit of the left-wing political movement, Popular Front, which would have a major political victory that year, the film chronicles the story of M. Lange (René Lefèvre), a mild-mannered clerk at a publishing company who dreams of writing Western stories. He gets his chance when Batala (Jules Berry), the salacious head of the company, fakes his own death and the abandoned workers decide to form a cooperative. They have great success with Lange's stories about the cowboy, Arizona Jim - whose stories parallel the real-life experiences of the cooperative. At the same time, Lange and his his neighbor, Valentine (Florelle), fall in love. When Batala returns from the "dead," intending to reclaim the publishing company, Lange shoots and kills him (the "crime" of the title). Lange and Valentine flee to escape the country, stopping at an inn near the border. Here, Valentine tells Lange's story to a group of the inn's patrons, who had recognized Lange as the "murderer on the run" and threatened to turn him in to the police. It's been getting a lot of hype here. Have my European friends heard about it (is it in theatres this weekend, or will it be released later)? Is the book popular there? I have to admit that I'm quite excited about the movie, in part because it's directed by Spike Jonze and in part because I read the book a lot with my mother when I was young. Not quite a movie of the day posting, I know. Sorry.
