In January the band released the "Shriek: Excerpts From The Soundtrack" on their own Unorthodox Records in partnership with Wyrm publishing and noted American science fiction writer Jeff VanderMeer. In February the band release "The Coffee Hounds EP". Exclusive vocal and instrumental versions of "The Coffee Song" as well as taking on the Kate Bush classic "Hounds Of Love". Unorthodox Records will release the new album "Untitled #23" through MGM in March to coincide with Australian dates. The album will feature 10 tracks of thoughtful simplistic epics, unusual in its ability to be simultaneously dark and accessible. An irresistibly melodic album, dense, psychedelic, yet emotive and personal. Set in a lush soundscape carved out of another world, the band has succeeded in creating a listenable work of art, meshing guitars and rhythms into a sonic journey of intrigue and understanding. They will also release the 4 Track "Pangaea EP" that will include 3 tracks not on the album including "So Love May Find Us" a musical exploration in a heavenly, engaging 15 minutes of bliss. I´m sorry for the Why Don´t You Love Me-forum here but I can´t buy/listen much more than The Church (and maybe a little Howling Bells) in the future months.

Is it love, is it lust? We hope it's chemistry. Oz Unorthodox Releases: The new album Untitled #23 Cat No. UN0 004LTD will be available from March 6th 2009 in a special limited slip case. It will cost just AUD$20 and will be available only at these 6 shows at this price and in this cover. It comes out to retail April 4th in Australia in a 6 panel digipak (UNO 004) and will also be available through the web site from then. The 12th of May is the date of the USA release. Pangaea EP Cat No. UNO 003 will have four tracks, three not on the album featuring songs sung by SK (Pangaea) then Peter (LLC) then MWP (Insanity) .. then an approx 15 minute meandering epic...sung by SK called So Love May Find Us. A release date will be announced soon. The ep will available in shops, at gigs and be on the website by the time of the Oz tour. Soon to arrive is the Coffee Hounds EP Cat No. UNO 002 The Coffee Song/ Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush and The Coffee Song Instrumental. This is a completely separate release to the new album. SK and MWP both have vocals on it, with some airy, atmospheric texture to it. As usual, like nothing they've done recently, yet a natural church-y sound. Complete 180 from "Shriek," to say the least! I'm not sure who to thank, but thanks for putting my thread at the top of the heap!

Why do you think this is completely seperate to the new album? Would have made more sense to have released it last year to fill the gap between releases as it will get lost a bit when the new album does come out. Also originally Coffee Song was going to be "how easy it all is" which sounds like a better title than Coffee Song to me. A funny release - only really 2 tracks. Hounds Of Love is obviously only 4/5 mins or so and I'm going to guess that Coffee Song is going to be a rambling epic! Whatever, can't wait!

They do what they do no matter what other people think about it ...although I would like to think that the announcement of the 6-panel digipak so long before it´s released is because users here have been criticizing flimsy cardboard packages.
