What is the way/format you primarily get your new music or the way that you prefer the most. Of course there is many ways but you can choose only one.

Good olde CD seems to win over many new and even older formats. These days I have gone mostly towards digital files. I buy most of them (over 50 %) but of
course something else always comes from here and there. It´s handy to just store it all to an external drive or two and not worry about space. I really don´t
have any place to store my CD-collection. My space is not my space.

No it´s not. That category is included in free digital downloads. If it´s only free stuff that you´re after is there then a difference if it´s free legal or
free illegal? Me think not.

Though I've been getting some by download I still get most of my music in plastic pieces that are overflowing my CD shelf.
For most CDs I just load them in the computer and my iPod, and very rarely (if at all) play them in the car... On the other hand, since I got a 160 GB iPod and at 11,000 songs I find that I still have to convert to MP3 about half of my CDs I have found myself buying less music... |

Hi,
This is a good topic specifically of interest...to those of us who can't access the formats of music easily. Sure, I have an Ipod & download but, I'm more into vinyls/rarities. I've been having a somewhat of a "difficult" time recently finding literally 'anything' on The Church (maybe because of the weirdness here in this area). Well, when work schedules allow, I like to go to thrift shops, Goodwills, etc. I've been frequenting quite a few vinyl-specific shops(but, one really has to "travel" to get there so, when one goes, you better go w/ a list & some money). I basically responded to this topic hoping for some suggestions besides ebay, b&n, borders, best buy, etc... Thanks! |

Check out www.gemm.com for vinyl and various rarities. Some of the items can be expensive, but the selection can be
incredible.

This topic still lives. Why not, it´s a good one. If I was to vote today I would have to say streaming. Quantity/price ratio is far too good. I still listen to
albums as listening to single songs is no good for me.
