I was searching online today for any reviews of the Painkiller record release gig (being the glutton for punishment that I am I wanted to read more about
the great gig I couldn't go to 
), and what did I find but an interesting little posting from Ricky Maymi on
the Keep Music Evil forum (link to thread here).
Pay special attention to the last two sentences.
Tim Powles and SK knew I was gonna be in Australia at the time the record was coming out and asked me to do the album release gig with them so, obviously I said "YES"! I have done the odd bit live with The Church on guitar and Sound Effects, in the past. Performed acoustic with both Steve and Marty Willson-Piper before too, but never thought an opportunity like this would come up... We had an AMAZING gig last night!!! Thanks to all who made it out and made it such a special night for us!!! We will do more gigs in the near future and we are going in the studio TODAY!!!!! We are making an album over the next three days before I fly back to San Francisco...
