Remember he is English by birth and his heritage is here so he probably has hangups relating to this. I can't imagine they've had too many bad experiences playing live in England (at least since I first saw them in 90) as they normally sell out (or pretty much) and seem to have a great time! But the UK was probably one of the places they would have wanted to crack so maybe he's a bit miffed that it never quite happened. Also remember that when he comes to England he only ever sees London (normally) so doesn't get much exposure to the country as a whole. Anyway, why bring it up now???
