Movie: Before Sunset |

Anyone ever see that? 2004, Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy...? Apparently it's a sequel to another film done in the mid 90s. Very interesting movie about the
interaction of a man and woman that haven't seen one another in 9 years. Really fascinating. I've missed it until now, but glad I caught it.

I haven´t seen this , only the first one "Before Sunrise" (1995). The characters have aged 9 years between movies as they have in real life too. That
was a nice little date-movie and this one should be too. What was funny behind the sequel was that the lead actors Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke co-wrote the
movie because they liked doing the first one. You don´t hear that too often. They would like to make these movies as on going series, but these haven´t been
extremely successfull, so that might not happen. Julie Delpy (she´s cute in not so french way) also wrote some songs for the soundtrack. She is really talented
as she has directed, wrote, edited, co-produced and wrote music for her two own movies. French renaissance woman!

Funny, Daniel, this movie had everything i SHOULD like. It had all the ingeredients. It was witty, intelligent, artsy, light, had a nice pacing, great camera,
superb actors, and I happily agree. Strangely, I fucking hated it. Just like a woman with a perfect sense of humour, perfect nose, perfect legs and all the
other doodahs, listening to the right music and stuff... but somehow you don't find any common ground. One day, I'll give it another chance...
Actually the same with Echo and the Bunnymen. They had it all. Last.fm tells me I should adore them. Pandora says, they're MY band. Everyone who know me tells me, you must like Echo, too. You're into 80es psychedelia, you like that edgy version of postpunk pop...I never got them, except for a few songs... Things like that happen... |

Interesting, Fandorin. Sometimes it's just like that.
It may be that some of my past experiences created just the right 'atmosphere' in me that allowed this movie to live and breathe for me. The difference between me and the movie lead man is that my current relationship is good, where his was bad and ripe for abandoning. I could certainly understand his point of view though, and hers.

I liked both of these movies; first one and newest one....I thought the way they were done was quite intelligent; especially how they ended the two
films....Some of these types of movies I love though, just watching the actors in the long takes etc. is just amazing...another film somewhat like that (very
dialogue heavy, almost like a play) is Interview with Steve Buscemi and Sienna Miller....I find these kinds of movies amazing to watch...the acting either
makes or breaks them, and I just find that rather interesting to observe...
