You will need to host the image on the internet somewhere (rather than on your computer), as it will need to be accessible 24/7, not just when you are online.
Use any jpeg or gif file on your hard drive. There are a number of sites you can use to host your images. I'm not going to get into detailed instructions
on how to upload a photo, so email me if you have problems with this step. You can also upload them straight to your Yuku profile. Just look at the top left of your screen where it says "Welcome (insert username here). Click on the word "images" and follow the prompts.
1.) Go to the page where your photo resides
2.) Right-click on the photo
3.) Choose "Properties"
4.) Copy the URL ( etc.) (**note that some photo hosts (like Photobucket) have the code available so you can just skip steps 2 and 3**)
5) Click on the "Insert Image" button (the one with the mountains) in the toolbar above the field in which you are typing your post.
6) Click "Add From URL"
7) Paste the URL
It's that easy.
If you uploaded your photo to Yuku, skip the above steps, start a new post, click on the "image" button (that's the little landscape icon), select your photo, and post!
There's also a "Insert Image
From Photobucket" button for those of you who have photos hosted there - you can link your Photobucket account to your Yuku profile.
Clicking the preview radio button allows you to test your post first before committing it to the Womb.
If your photo is too big for the screen size, you can resize it. Simply edit your post. Where you see the word "image" inside square brackets, add
either "width=" or "height=" and a number from 100 to 500 (without quotation marks, of course) before the right bracket.
