Aghast, and gently trying to inform this poor woman what the word meant, Mom tried to change her mine. Noel, Brennan, Ian... the men in my family have nice strong names which tip the hat to our ancestry. Though I would possibly break the tradition if I had another son. Maxfield might be the name I choose (after Maxfield Parrish). I decided if I had another daughter her name would be Rowan. BUT my ex-wife gave that name to her young daughter. What a filthy thing to do! Not important really as I've been debating a vasectomy for a while. across the endless sky we are deployed

Jude for short. His nickname, however, is Chaka, as in the little proto human from Land of the Lost. It should be no surprise that I call my Springer Spaniel "Smeagol."

One of her dependents (her children) had an 'Africanized' name which the mother pronounced "Shet-on-a-may". It was spelled Shitonme. Think about that spelling for a sec. I kid you not. Or should I say I sh*t you not.
