My friend loaned me his just released Heyday lp, and I was snared upon it's first spin around the old turntable. Saw the lads in LA on the Starfish tour, but haven't had another chance until this month; The Portland, OR show was beyond my expectations 100-fold! Living in the world at large, full of unbelievers as it is, has been difficult. I've decided to fellowship with the faithful: I'm ready to pray...

It had to have been the best show I've ever seen! Sitting in the 2nd row watching Marty and his 12-string was putting me in a trance. I hope the rumors are true about them continuing on with an electric tour. Fingers crossed they come through here again!

I found out about this hallowed ground through Robert Lurie's excellent biography of Steve and the band. I've been a fan for about 5 years now; just long enough for the Church to become my favourite band, Steve my favourite songwriter; and to have them see me through university. Being from England of course makes it hard to find things Church-related, and being 21 doesn't help either, but here I am! J
