What Jazz musicians die of: cancer, liver failure, or heart attack/disease.

What the generation-old rock stars die of: plane or car crashes.

Many of these stars also die from having hair too long and getting beaten to death in a Chicago bar, the occasional dismemberment, but there are quite a few murders here, stabbed-after-argument-kind-of-stuff. Not many died-of-old-agers here, though.

Kind of somber, macabre althugh there werent any suicides or drug overdoses before the mid-60s.
