Bill Nelson, years ago, was the man behind Be Bop Deluxe ( song writer/guitarist etc etc) and is still making great music...(SK has mentioned him a few times over the years,correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember SK saying in an interview that he was rather excited all those years ago (around '77) when a Be Bop Deluxe album arrived from the UK and I also seem to remember a Be Bop Deluxe track over on the Karmic Hit Jukebox a few months ago!). The term 'cult following' springs to mind here, I suppose, not a million miles away from The Church. I'll bet MWP and PK also familiar with Bill Nelson's music as well........especially the E-Bow playing!! Anyway, thanks for your kind comments. Looking forward to the next SK album........

Faith Healer Space Saviour Posts: 1857 (06/18/2007 09:05) Faith Healer Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I loved Bill Nelson's early album "Northern Dream", his Be Bop Delux work, the Red Noise album and most of his '80's output, both song driven and instrumental. I still think Chance Encounters in the Garden of Light is second only to the Pearl for greatest ambient album of all time. Getting the Holy Ghost Across was his finest hour song wise then and I really loved Demonstrations of Affection too, but after that I kind of lost touch/interest. Brian

The images for those were actually already done as abstract things and I was asked if they were ok to be used....some of their earlier suff is good though, not sure about the current music it all seems so forgettable. 'Getting The Holy Ghost Across' was reissued last year , first time on cd, sounds great. I really like 'Gilt Trip' as an ambient thing, very haunting....earlier SK stuff 'Earthed' and 'Unearthed' what a geat double that would make!! Funny thing this, you'd be surprised as to how many Church fans frequent the Bill Nelson discussion board...ok so not hundreds but there's been a few...must be some connection! Burning question here and it's probably not the right section of this site but, can anyone tell me where 'Headlines' by SK came from? Great track!! Astronboy.

Maven Posts: 28 (06/18/2007 21:29) Maven Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Nope Altres, it's not that track...I've both Jack Frost albums..the SK track is almost a kind of 'rap' thing for want of a better word with a great bass line...it's not on any SK album I know of........I'll try and find it (just moved house so everythings all over the place).....one thing sticks in my mind the words something like 'winking wanker' (serious) !!!!! Any other ideas?
