If this really happens and gets announced in time (taking a holiday in July means knifing with collegues for me).. I will do just about anything to try and make it. Who else would be going? And is there anything we could plan to do.. a special Hotel Womb pre-show event or something? Reactions please!!

I would consider a journey south, if it involved the Church playing a one off, never to be seen again, show at the Opera House. And would definately be up to meeting up with you... the bondi beach lifesavers best be on the lookout... *Amanda

Meet up someplace before the show for food, drinks and music.. perhaps a 'whose the craziest fan' competition.. make some pictures for the womb etc. Amanda, yeah, I am really excited about the idea. I found it strange no one else had reacted to it before me. My point is, tho the bandmembers will probably continue making music as long as they're able to, the live aspect of it is going to end at some point or another. Any show can be the last. I know this may sound negative with all recent band-activity, but I don't think we can expect world-tours with gigs in every corner of the world with each album-release anymore. So if this show really materializes, I hope we all make the effort (if possible/affordable at all) to be there, so as many of us can contribute making this a memorable event. My secret hope is for a Church performance once-more in their full electric glory (12 min guitar-orgy, extended version of Another Earth.. that type of thing)

Panting, scratching, screaming, imagining... had already decided I Will be there, in a heartbeat! Dream gig time. I would stay a week but only if I could stay in the same room at the Biltmore Hotel in Bondi as I was in in late late 89 when there was an Earthquake. Any ozzie's remember that? I never saw so many topless people run into a hallway in my life! I would of course stay on a quaint ranch in the Blue Mountains too. Glenn :-)

OK : so I saw a tiny mention about it in that august journal The Sydney Morning Herald - and they're NEVER wrong ! I believe the gig will be an unplugged affair in The Studio (groovy new intimate venue at the Opera House). Although I have searched the Opera House site I can find no confirmation as yet. However, you can join The Studio's mailing list and receive updates of what's on there (www.sydneyoperahouse.com/thestudio/) . You can even email The Studio and make "enquiries". This is very exciting - but I am crossing my fingers that it isn't between July 17-22 as I have to be out of Sydney on those dates. I must now confess my bias here - I have a lifelong attachment to the Sydney Opera House, having grown up across the harbour from it and later worked there for seven years. Might work there again someday, if I'm lucky. Ernst, Amanda and everyone...we'll sit by the water at the Opera Bar sipping champagne as the sun sets over the harbour. Never mind the Bondi Lifesavers, Ernst - just wait till you see those guys from the Sydney Dance Company wander past in their skin-tight leotards ! Creeate...I do remember that little earthquake, but you'll find Bondi rather more trendy (ie : expensive) than in 1989. Still a haven for backpackers though. The Blue Mountains is still beautiful and relatively unspoilt. Cheers, Julia

Reckon you all know about the latest news from the official site. That will make it easier to get my holidays from work opposed to mid-july. Strange.. the news came day after I despaired after not hearing anything anymore about it for a while. All in all, it gave me new resolve to make it. Have taken some extra shifts in Easter and have managed to save enough to book my flight. Now I am getting curious to learn who intends to go.. can everyone please post here! If there's a subsequent aussie tour I am up for catching more dates.
