I've had From The Well for awhile,and recently aquired Manchild/Myth. I've fallen in love with From The Well. Despite the dated production (those synth drums..) it's a very charming,sublime,catchy album. As jingly jangly rock,I like it better than most of the earlier Church albums (it's on par with Seance and Remote Luxury though). The Lost Peace,In The Wake and Desert Flower Bride are tops,but most of the others aren't far behind (except Lullaby and Nursury Fugue..which are very far behind...are those Koppes kids?). Manchild/Myth is pretty good too,but it's too long (re:the second half isn't as good as the first)and the vocals sounds low and have a weird slurred echo to them. The first 4 songs and Comes As No Surprise are great...I still need to soak it up as a full album though. Any recommendations on what album of his I should buy next?
