As an avid Church fan, I'm ashamed to say that I've not yet discovered any of the members solo attempts. Can anyone help me out as far as what would be
the best solo output of any of the members?
I feel that you can really tell a great band based more upon their solo projects than their work as a collective unit. This is because you sometimes get the "Sting" factor into the equation where the lead singer, or 1 member of the band is a controlling, manipulative, tyrant, and so the creativity merely comes from 1 person, and the other band members are basically "sitting in".
As an avid Replacements fan, I grew more in love with this band upon discovering each of their solo projects. Each one of their solo efforts was very refreshing and I enjoyed each one, Tommy Stinson's Bash & Pop was without a doubt a phenominal record, that got no respect at all.
Please advise me what I should pick up regarding Church Solo projects. Thank you so much.
