I would have loved the Venetians in their time. They sound dated to my ears now (as many New Romantic bands do). My question is did Tim play on the Divinyls' hit 'I Touch Myself' (or that album)? I remember digging the Les Paul Jr. tones from the Brian Jones look-alike in the band. And the singer... well, she had that minx thing, that Mae West sort of inflection. Still... he was credited as Tim Powells in SA/SE, what if Charley Drayton is another alias? The only other Divinyls song I know is "Pleasure and Pain" does Tim play on that one? And were all of the Divinyls songs related to sex? Now I can't sleep until I know the answer.

Columbus Posts: 999 (03/11/2003 22:08) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I was re-reading the liner notes to the DiVinyls greatest hits CD, "Make You Happy - 1981-1993", and it lists all of the drummers who have played in the band. Tim Powles is mentioned among "Others who have can claim to have been in DiVinyls over the years". It doesn't specifically mention which (if any) songs, though. And, yeah, a lot of their songs are related to sex. "Somewhere in the wilderness, you wander like a river, crossing the wheatfields and crying to the sorry ocean.
