We had no idea that our September celebration would be so popular - or we may have done it in March... A few people have been asking about the bonus tracks on Narcosis + More - I am sworn to secrecy for another week except to say that they are unheard and unreleased and extremely exciting! Great news that the "This Asphalt Eden" tracks will be included on "The Slow Crack", as I only had 2 of them thus far. (Still waiting on "Unearthed" with all 16 tracks, but that's another story). This will become more apparent as the year comes to a close. Don't try to understand it - resistance is useless. As you and yours speed towards the end of the year, we here at Karmic Hit send out this missive to you. So you know we are thinking of you. The news we bring this Christmas should keep the home fires burning. We are currently putting the finishing touches on the re-release of Steve Kilbey's first solo outings - Unearthed and Earthed. Digitally remastered from the original tapes. We have four bonus tracks to add to Unearthed. They are.... 1. Arm Chair 2. Someone Calls You On. 3. Life Like Love 4. You Once Told Me They are fantastic! SK says that Unearthed could have originally been a triple album and we have selected some from that era, added a little KH spit and polish and think you will love them. Reaction has been great for both Slow Crack and Narcosis + More, with the Earthed/Unearthed chapter being documented SK's output starts to become quite staggering. As we work our way through them I am realising how many records he has made, each special in its own way. Hope you enjoy them. In news just to hand, I have been really heartened by the amount of people falling asleep to my new cd. It definitely seems to make you fall asleep. The numbers are still coming in but I am so happy with initial results. It's not failsafe - but don't listen while operating heavy vehicles or just plain operating. Some people laugh when I tell them I have made a cd to put you to sleep. I haven't figured out why yet. Not officially on sale until February these are in a beautiful package - a limited edition, no less, which come with 5 bonus gloss post cards, which are an amazing work of art in their own right. We are also, due to popular demand releasing a limited edition MattPak Isidore and an even more limited edition of them will include the original bonus two track cd that has been requested more times than I care to mention. I have heard a large amount of the new Gilt Trip, and although it is a work in progress the end results promise to be sensational. Once it is finished we will release it along with the original Gilt Trip. There's plenty of other music being made around the KH way, but that should be enough to get your appetite whetted. I aim to get a bunch of juicy MP3's up for you to download into your stocking so check in at the KH Hall of Gifts soon, if you will... I've mainly been looking forward to the reissue for the 2 extra tracks "Nonapology" and "Forgetfullness" from the Red Eye Records version. The new reissue will include those 2 tracks, as well as 4 previously unreleased tracks. So even if 2 of those extra tracks aren't as good as the rest of the CD, it will still be worth getting.

I'm just wanting to make the point that 'armchair' is not as good as the worst song on the original unearthed. MP3s are a two edged sword. Kind of like videos as advertisements. Only now it's almost as if songs support the videos when it comes to pop. b

Glow Worm Posts: 551 (01/22/2005 09:19) Glow Worm Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	right there with you b... unearthed has always been my fave SK solo outing, not in any sort of competetive way, maybe more just where i was at when it came out and where it can still take me today... my vinyl copy adorns my wallspace at work, i love the cartography on the inner sleeve... just noticed that the map and photos aren't included on the Enigma cd release i have... maybe with the reissue??? i truly love the entire record, with Othertime quite possibly being my favorite SK track of all time... but i really dont like making fave lists so, whatever and ever amen, yada yada yada... Arm Chair didn't do much for me on initial listen either, but of course i plan on getting the reissue, after i get new boots for my kids... as far as videos almost supporting songs today, i'd say drop the almost and you've hit the nail on the head... video has killed the radio star, and has propelled the likes of Carson Daly into stardom... what a vacuous load of crap... these people contribute absolutely nothing to the world of music imho... i fear for my children's musical minefield as they grow older, but i hope for the best and play plenty of The Church and Neil Young and DJ Spooky and Dexter Gordon etc... and tell them never ever buy your music at wal mart... a little off track i have gone, but that's just me i reckon... cheers all, erik

I tried to place a preorder for these 2 CDs last week, got as far as the shopping cart, and when I clicked on checkout, I kept getting "page cannot be displayed". I tried again today, and I can get as far as the shopping cart, but if I click on checkout, it stays on the shopping cart page. This is really irritating, because I've been waiting for the "Unearthed" reissue for years! JLK replied to my e-mail, and it seems that I am the only one having problems accessing the checkout page at KH, but he said he'll put me down for a preorder. Of course, I e-mailed him back a big thank you, and also sent praise for his "Catching Some Z's" CD, which has become one of my new favorite slumber time CDs, right along with Robert Rich's 7 hour audio DVD "Somnium" and "The Ambient Expanse" compilation CD. John Kilbey's Catching Some Z's is my favorite CD at the moment. I played it for like 7 hours the other day after I got it. Very recommended CD! It is great for quite evenings, very relaxing, love the fact it puts me in the wilds of nature, love the bells and strange noises. What is this 7 hour DVD audio you are mentioning?
