Sue, I've no idea which one sold best, JK only gave me the figures posted above. My guess is that it's one of the earlier albums, because The Church were more famous then and the sales of an album would sum up over so many years (especially when they are re-released again later on). So maybe it's Unearthed.

Glenn, I read a book called "Mix, burn and R.I.P. - the end of the music industry" (available in German only) some time ago. It has a chapter about record contracts and a band's expenses and income, and it says there's no simple way to tell what a band earns per sold album. But what comes out at the end of that chapter is that bands are exploitet by major labels. The situation is a little bit better in Europe than in the States, but still bad. The reason, as I understood, is that the contracts between musicians and major labels are highly complicated - mostly in a way to transfer most of the money to the label and to tie the band to that label.
