Greetings all fellow musicians influenced by The Church!
I, because it is seriously cool to do so and on the behalf of Heyday Records, am putting together a sampler CD of original music created and recorded my musicians influenced by The Church! To avoid an overly-long note, here are the main points of the sampler CD:
--CD will be manufactured and promoted on Heyday Records www.heyday.com Yes, the same label MWP is on!
--There will be a run of 1100 CDs. 1000 to the participating musicians, and 100 to Heyday. Heyday will give them away for free plus the cost of postage (such as they do with their own sampler CDs, check em out!).
--This CD is meant to coincide with the release of Martys new Noctorum CD, coming out in March. It is hoped that fans, while picking up Martys new CD, will also check the sampler out as well!
--Robert Rankin Walker of Heyday will master the CD (trust me, he does outstanding work, he did wonders with my forthcoming Heyday release).
--The deal: The cost is $65 USA to be on the sampler. For that youll get 50 copies of the CD for yourself, your friends, to do what you want to with them!
--The CD will be full-color printing on heavy cardstock sleeve, with a full-color CD itself (if youve seen any of the Heyday samplers, you know what Im talking about, they look great!).
--The first 20 artists to pay will be the ones who get to be on the CD. Sorry, its just practical. The CD can be up to 80 minutes long. This gives each artist 4 minutes per song. Sorry, no 10-minutes MATS-inspired tunes for this sampler! There is some leeway in this, of course. The song Ive chosen for myself is only 3:30, which can add up for others.
--Collaborations are welcome, if you think the tune is cool, if you want to share the cost with a buddy.
--The due date for submissions is February 14, 2006Valentines Day. This will allow for the CD to be mastered, manufactured and distributed in time with the new Noctorum CD.

--Ive created a website for info and for payment (via Paypal, which accepts credit card payments from around the world). Payment by personal check to me is also acceptable. Email me for more details. Ill handle getting the money to Heyday.
--I strongly suggest you use a song youve already recorded (pick a good one!), instead of stressing out over recording some brand-new perfect song. The sooner we can get to press with this the better.
