[Apologies to anyone who has already seen this post over in the "Other Artists" forum, but on sober reconsideration, perhaps it should have been
posted here in the first place!]
For anyone who wasn't already aware, a three-disc (2xCD & DVD) All About Eve retrospective is about to be released by Universal, who own the rights to the band's back catalogue. Quite apart from the fact that they're a wonderful band, I thought it was worth mentioning because of Marty's involvement - he played guitar on their albums "Touched By Jesus" and "Ultraviolet" and on subsequent tours, until his departure from the Eves fold in 2003.
There's the usual "greatest hits", and also a bunch of rarities and previously unreleased stuff including two totally new songs recorded especially for the release plus a whole bunch of previously unreleased live stuff and even a couple of radical new versions of old songs, so even for us AAE diehards there's plenty to get excited about!
The tracklisting can be seen at the band's website, Candy Tree, which can be found here .
You can already pre-order it via Play.com or Amazon.co.uk, and there are a bunch of other places taking pre-orders for it already. A nice taster of the DVD contents and a reminder of what AAE were/are all about can also be found here.
