I find this one a little more edgy (distortion, feedback and reverb) then most MWP efforts. He seems p' %#ssed off. Love Drink To Drift Away, it is an infinitely sad song. Haunting keyboards. I think its a good comparison, though the Mission might have been a little more 'dance' oriented in places than the Seeing Stars album. If you can imagine the Mission as dance... specifically I'm thinking Never Again or Shades Of Green when I say that. dw

Many months ago Robert from Heyday said he was waiting on Marty and it was nearly ready to go, i asked Marty at one of his shows and he just looked at me blankly... it's very frustrating, coz Robert said it was to be remixed for a better sound and there were to be extra tracks. My guess is that a certain big label doesn´t know what to do with an album that has a raw live sound and slightly sketchy songs. All this when they waited for pop songs with commercial appeal. They wanted to illustrate the stuff with slick videos featuring a better looking woman. 15 years later they still don´t know what to do with it. Somehow I´m not surprised that a Church-related album that was done on spare studio time could have 5 bonus songs. Have to admire the work ethics. Soldier is a fine bonus song too! He drums impatient fingers on the chrome and on the leather
