I've never heard the other live acoustic MWP discs so I can't compare it, but this is a fine selection of solo + Church + Noctorum + poetry. Actually makes a good MWP primer, for those unfamiliar with his work away from the Church. I was pleased that Heyday picked up the ball and got my order to me, although I fear the shipping delays for this release will lead to more harping about Churchmerch. Starting, well, with me: much as I want to continue to support the band's own sales apparatus, clearly I should have gone with Heyday for this release in the first place rather than wait for Churchmerch. It baffles me that Churchmerch has such a hard time providing good, consistent service when Karmic Hit and Heyday (perhaps Immersion too, although I've yet to order from them) do this so consistently well. Certainly the people involved with these outlets are close enough to the band to at least provide good advice if not more direct support. Michael

Great selection of songs and presentation. It has been on constant play in the background at work and for some reason, I am really productive. Must be soothing the subconcious.

It's a pleasant mix of old and new tracks, and it's cool to hear how Marty sings some of the older songs now - his voice has really mellowed over the years. That being said, he does manage to shout when he wants to! I thought it interesting his remark that "I Can't Even Risk an Openness..." is about someone he hates. I wonder who, though? Mike Lembo, perhaps... "Well I got a fever, and I'm feeling fainter, I'm a dim receiver, I'm a Cold War painter, If you can just hold still, I will make you all so beautiful"
