Quite Germanic in sound, particularly the two instrumental b-sides ("At The Castle" and "Air") which remind me of a cross between the spiritual sound of Popol Vuh and the stark electronics of "Macula Transfer" era Edgar Froese. The copy I bought came with a written insert explaining about the reasons surrounding the subject matter of the main song. These tracks subsequently ended up on the CD release of "Manchild and Myth". My main opinion on this one: very distinctive sound, a minimalistic guitar riff, elegic melody. Wonderful WRF sounds like nothing else, actually... a bit like "Danielle" from "Remindlessness", but not so bleak and desperate. Nothing on Manchild&Myth outshines this one., though it's the same ingredients, basically. I don't own this, though I have found it in a 2nd hand store for almost no money. Peter's reaction was interesting as he had never seen a fan with that particular disc. He would NOT sign the cover of the album because he was precious about the artwork and stated the record truly was a requiem for a friend (he did sign the back). across the endless sky we are deployed

I read the liner notes that said tracks 14-16 are from "When Reason Forbids - A Requiem", and always wondered if the actual "When Reason Forbids" album had more songs and where I might find it - but evidently those were the only 3 songs.
