Do the songs which blend into other songs on the original CDs stand alone in a complete state on Tin Mine? Specifically, do Buffalo (which has Tranquility bleed into it) and Jazz (which blends into hitspacebar) have the other song bits or are they complete and totally independent? These two songs are two of my favorites from the Powles era and it's sometimes frustrating to have to listen to them with the other songs "interfering". When they announced Tin Mine (which I knew all along I would not be able to obtain) I just knew it would contain Jazz and Buffalo to torment me! I hope all of you fortunate to have Tin Mine enjoy the hell out if it!

One is willing to sell his (unopened) copy for 180 USD. Maybe he is ENJOYING his Tin Mine a lot. Others are 35-120 USD. Any ideas how many of these will be sold within a month of the launch? The case looks pretty swanky.

I was going to fast forward to the new song (which is a beautiful ethereal tune) and the live version of All I Know but started from the first track Buffalo and was taken by surprise that it sounded different. I thought itd been remixed but actually its been remastered and very beautifully. The songs chosen, in chronological order, were perfectly selected making you want to grab all the old albums and play them again, I felt that way hearing The Awful Ache.

No reason for anyone to pay more than that, since only two tracks are unavailable elsewhere (and one of those is a live version, not too different from the original). Here's my "response" to Tin Mine. If the band let me create a Disc 2 to complement the tracks they had selected, it would go like this: 1. Louisiana 2. It's All Too Much 3. Radiance 4. Twin Stars 5. June 6. Maya 7. Crash/Ride 8. The Unguarded Moment (acoustic) 9. A New Season (acoustic) 10. Block 11. Easy 12. Seen It Coming 13. Invisible If I had BW2B, I might include one of its tracks in place of TUM or ANS.

Glow Worm Posts: 72 (08/17/2006 10:31) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I picked this up at the Indy show on Tuesday, and haven't listened to it all the way through (I know these songs already). I had to hear Leverage and the live version of All I Know. After hearing them, my thoughts were that Leverage was a nice spacey long song, kind of like Cantilever revisited. All I Know was nice, letter perfect and I almost thought that it wasn't live at all, it sounds that good. My only complaint would be (and it's not with this particular release) if they have such stunning versions of live songs available... where is the definitive live album? I would kill for a recording of Pure Chance that sounded half as good as the one they played the other night. Joey

Transient Posts: 3 (04/28/2007 01:37) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I want to say thankyou to the Church for the Tin Mine cd as it was complimentary with entry to the ULTC launch in March 2006 and as it was my first Church concert and the first time I heard any of their current music, I couldn't have hoped for a better souvenir and introduction, as I wouldn't have known where to start otherwise I listened to Tin Mine non stop for at least two months, it was bliss, it was the first time I have ever found music I could listen to over and over again, no, NEEDED to listen to over and over If the Church are ever wondering the best way to build on their concerts and make new committed fans this is definitely the best way to do it

I had the pleasure of seeing the band perform Cantilever live as an encore in San Diego, i think they also closed out with Magician (with MWP on BASS!). These 2 songs are exactly what i love about this band. Spacey,driving,too long (the way i like it!). -glynnis

Posts: 5335 (12/02/2009 04:55) Faith Healer Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I was just looking if Operetta-ep had been included in Second Motion´s The Church-section and I discovered that Tin Mine was in the list of items as a digital download for $9,99. Is this the first time this item has been for sale for real? I haven´t seen this mentioned anywhere. The album is a bliss so far! The songs flow so nicely together and even Leverage feels understandable in the end. He drums impatient fingers on the chrome and on the leather Last Edited By: chrome3D 12/02/2009 06:28.
