Hang in there fans, my copy arrived today from Heyday, listening to it now and so far it is really good the first track is excellent. More to come after a few listens.

Here is my review after a few days listen. Keep in mind I am a fan of music and most importantly of The Church and related. I do not make music or pretend to know how so this is simply my opinion.

Rating System:

***** Amazing track right there with artist best work.
**** Essential Album track.
*** Good Album Track.
** Different, experimental not usual preference but worth hearing.
* Should of been cut or B-side.

1.) False Flag ***** This song is incredible, the guitar work is amazing. I will say this now I wish the whole album was like the 1st three tracks. Low dual vocals, I hope they pursue this technique again.
2.) Better Hope ***** The guitar soars her from the begining, agree Marty's vocal style is different on this album, this reminds me of Echo or Ian and it is really a great song that Rocks!!!
3.) Cry ***** Beautiful ballad type song to start and the song just grows into an amazing epic track. The dual vocals is a nice change again and this time they really build the song into an amazing crescendo.
4.) Victorian Vignette ** I dont usually care for duets from a male/female point of view, I love The Tindersticks and they probalby do it best. Maybe its the change of pace in the album after the 1st three tracks. The music is beautiful and the female voice is nice sounding in the chorus, just dont like the lead vocal.
5.) Bad Dreams **** Reminds of Marty's earlier work (Spirit Level) which is one of my favourtie solo albums. Excellent song.
6.) Honey Mink *** Intermission track with some guitar magic and vibe, very free jazz.
7.) Tora, Tora, Tora *** Probalby the most familar track to the other two albums, nice vibe that chorus will not get of your head so be warned.
8.) Running Through Your Fingers *** Reminds me of Bad Dreams a little bit, nice song and a pleasure to listen to.
9.) Mao Tse Tung Kiss **** Tims drumming is pounding and I hope The Church can imrove from this album from a jamming standpoint. Really like this song and gets back from the 1st three.
10.) The New Scientist **** Reminds me of Santanna, really like this instrumsntal end. I hope the next album goes 100% full throttle like the 1st three and last 2 songs.

Overall this album was worth the wait, the bonus tracks from the pre-order I have cut into this album and sequenced for home use and like both Marty's and Dare's version of the same backing track.
