Does this seem normal to you or am I starting to be deaf ? (ipod ?)To be clear is there a better sound in the P=A remastered edition versus 1992 recording. As I'm plannig to buy it digitally on Second Motion web site or physically ( hey the lyrics are printed) , i 'll be happy to have some advise. Is anyone happy with the P=A remastered deluxe editon from 2005 ?Is it worth having it ? my last question : why a remastered cd 's copy have a louder sound most of the time ? I was skeptical at first about the remastering because I always thought that P=A was so perfectly mastered to begin with. But there is a definite improvement in the 2005 remaster! It really does sound clearer and greatly improves this masterpiece of an album. (I have noticed that a lot of my CDs from the 80s and 90s don't sound as loud as the CDs released now, and there are still quite a few I wish would get the remastering treatment). But yes, I do personally think the 2005 P=A remaster was worth getting. I ended up getting the rest of The Church remasters afterwards. This was before I knew they'd be released in the U.S. 5 and 6 years later, so I payed the hefty import price! I will likely buy the Second Motion edition of P=A, just because it's my favorite Church album and I like to have a copy of each version. "Where oblivion is beckoning, where Leviathan is reckoning."

I bought the remastered Starfish and GAF (2005) after they came out, it seems that the sound is more precise but i'm not really an audiophile. From the Second Motion reissues I only bought Blurred Crusade last year, it sounds great, you've got the bird design on the CD and fascinating liner notes by Marty.They did a great work. Thanks for your comments .

I do still intend to get the re-issue of P=A, but I'm not quite sure about re-buying all of ther other albums, since I already have each of them twice, due to getting the EMI remasters earlier this decade.
