Antenna was a great chat room back in the days, indeed.
Antenna had the advantage that anyone could sign under whatever name they wanted (except for names paid for, those Could not Be Anyone )... and that such fact allowed Mr. Kilbey to interact there. The fact that Kilbey could drop in, as rare as that was, was a big draw, I think. 

At first it was for me, actually, but once I experienced the chat with fellow Church fans I went back for them, not for the rare occasions when SK would be there.

Antenna had fans chatting that I know (I asked) would never post at HW, nor were subscribed to the Seance mailing list. Those can't nor will log in to Hitspacebar.

Hitspacebar... I've been there a few times, and I was the only one. That was years ago actually. I have never tried again, since I never see anyone logged in the chat room.
Only people registered to post at HW can log in to Hitspacebar, and they need to be signed in with their Yuku account for that. Those that lurk to read posts and rarely login (I include myself among them) won't get into the chat room usually.
Also, Kilbey will never be there, unless he was registered at HW, which I doubt will ever happen. And SK doesn't need Antenna to interact with the fans anyway, he has his blog for that now. That removes the other factor that drew people to Antenna.

But then... before the Antenna was removed it wasn't as visited as before anyway. I'm not sure keeping it instead of replacing it would have made much difference.

To be honest, I rarely have the time I used to have for chatting, I'm not that grad-student-with-spare-time-being from back in the days. I miss those chats, but currently even if the new chat room was packed everyday I wouldn't be able to join usually.

But I did enjoy those chats with both of you (and everyone else).
