Also, because i learnt about a couple of other pretty good new bands here, i deliberately concentrated on lesser known acts in my selection. So - if you haven't yet checked out "Buffalo" by The Phoenix Foundation, you are missing out!

Glow Worm Posts: 51 (03/30/2011 01:07) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Another album worth a listen to is You Am I's self titled album which came out around October 2010. This is their 9th studio album in a 20+ year carreer with many side projects thrown in. This is another solid album from a band I never truly thought would last this long, but sure the hell glad they did. 'Waiting to be found out', 'The Ocean' and 'Pinpricks' are enjoyable reminders why I try to catch this band live when I can, and bask in the energy of their performances. Two songs that absolutely blow me away on this album though, are the second single released, 'Trigger Finger', which just eases me into the beat of this very addictive melody, here is a link to it if you are interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXMssG9eqr8. The other song is 'Lets not get famous' which is a wonderful slower ballad with an unusual piano melody undertone that combined with sort of, reminds me of a (for a better word for it) Roger Waters influence. Truly cannot rave enough about this song, and I'm sure a couple of listens, you will agree also (maybe). Unfortunately, I cannot find a link for this particular song, but if you can track it down, it will be well worth it. Oh, if you are lucky enough to track down the cardboard special release of this album, you will be rewarded with a extra track called 'Right This Time', which is another typical You Am I sound.
