Posts: 4325 (12/06/2009 20:30) Faith Healer Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I have listened to the new album Keep Your Eyes Ahead 2 times now. Their sound is enjoyable and the singer is very very good. They could use some more memorable songs though. There are many other contenders in this same field and they are not able to write songs that stay in my mind. That´s the department that left me wanting for more. Hallelujah was an uplifting pseudo-gospel and probably my fave. Then in the next song Broken Afternoon at the end of the album they all of a sudden started to be a Bob Dylan tribute band, with their own song though, but same kind of nasal voice and singing manners. In the next last song the singing was like the hobo croaky Dylan of the modern days. Confusing... Posts: 5488 (12/10/2009 07:48) Faith Healer Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Yes, Chrome, the singer has a beautiful voice, hitting notes and all... and I humbly kneel in front of their sonic inventions. Just incredible. Once more thanks to Ernst for bringing this up. I listened quite a bit to Com Plex, their 1st album, in 2005-2006 when I was going through a horrible phase of depression. I noticed the quality of the album, but in fact, I couldnt truly enjoy anything those days, as my whole life felt like a phantom limb...numb, unnecessary, but still painful and annoying. Avoided all music from that phase soon after. Took it out again now - and now it takes me to unseen places. It's got a nice New Weird America feel going on, but drenched in thousands of juicy guitar textures instead of folky revivally. Second album has the ComPlexIty channeled a bit, while still featuring lots and lots of weird hooks and lines. Chrome, the Dylan tribute is mindblowingly byootiful, isnt it? Also love the country finale - so strange on an Indie Shoegazer Freakout album, but SOO in place at the right time. Did you notice how great and naturally the drums are recorded?? The drums play almost as many melodies as the guitars... Wow!!! Fantastic music!! ...because strange is what we need The Fandorin Foto Files

Singing, drums and guitars have clearness that is almost strange. They all have a lot of space to breathe but it´s still a full experience. Also the songs are mostly positive. There is joy of life and not much pessimism. Those are all qualities that I like. The opener "Lately" has all those good qualities but so does most of the other songs. The songs start to get more shapes as time goes by but that is just good as it won´t wear out in few listens. He drums impatient fingers on the chrome and on the leather
