I saw them at Notes Live in Sydney (2 times in one day!), the Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne twice and the gig at the Geelong Drama Theatre. I am one very lucky girl.

The first Notes Live gig in the daytime was a private xmas gig for family, friends and crew and that was so awesome as they were relaxed, having fun and stirring up the audience who were a little more reserved than a general church audience. Though Sydney audiences I must say are a lot quieter than in Melbourne anyway. The guys joked around a fair bit. The evening gig took on a different atmosphere again having all fans there. SK was really tired by then but I doubt anyone would've realized, the band were on fire. The Thornbury Theatre gigs were again fantastic, I enjoyed the 2nd one more as the sound seemed to improve where I was sitting (same place both nights) and it made a huge difference. I dont think I've ever seen Steve firing off jokes as much as he did this final night of the tour. Geelong was a...

managed to catch the notes sydney show and the lizottes central coast first night and wow!!!!!!
yeah 30 songs plucked from 30 albums, it's kinda random save for utmw and unguarded moment, and we are on track from the moment the band walk on, yeah this is no ordianary rock and roll band, these guys have the magick and they sculpt the music of songs outwards, into the receptive folk.

both shows were exceptionally brilliant and this is a band who are at their peak, effortlessly demonstrating why they have lasted 30 years, the songs are perfect, pangea, fly, 10000 miles, tear it all away, metropolis, iona song, space saviour, mistress, space needle, louisiana, appalachia, comedown, almost with you, an incredible version of grind and so many others but the highlight for me was invisible, with a snippet of heroin and steve's first song, skyscraper carnivore.

totally brilliant performance, from a brilliant band, who are constantly generous to their fans. the...

It's the next morning after a couple of brilliant church shows at Lizotte's Newcastle -which is such a great venue a lovely intimate old theatre. The band is just riding a wave of perfection at the moment , both shows were incredible , The only downer last night was a rowdy table of dinners who eventually toned down the volume of there conversation , or did the band just get louder ? .

Anyway wow last night a SK pulled one of our more famous local residents John Paul Young (JPY) out of the audience to sing UTMW. JPY and SK have recently done Rockwiz and the Van Park musical together. JPY added some amaizing personal touches to his UTMW TONIGHT towards the end really letting his vocal chords rip.

If they play in Scotland I will happily attend. I'm no fan of London myself but recent history (Leeds 2002/Brighton 2007 - I like many of the good folk here was at both) would show that they'll only pull 300 - 500 at the best outside of the smoke. In London the crowds are significantly larger for the band.
As a fan the more dates they have in the uk the better, but I fear the numbers wouldn't be there and at this stage of the game I don't suppose they can afford to lose ££££'s?
