My hometown is in a rural county of Ohio notable for a major jam & jelly corporation, some farms, and the Amish.

By comparison Frankfort, Kentucky (our little state capital) is quite nice actually. Sure, there is corruption and political ugliness in the gov. buildings, but the town and people are lovely.
