From those two vids that Neil Diamond one had something. I just listened a few albums of his and they certainly have quality. I might have to dig deeper.

Different songs will make me cry at different times, but one singer makes me cry nearly every time I listen to her: Sandy Denny. Without a doubt on Crazy Man Michael, It Suits Me Well, One More Chance and The Banks Of the Nile, but many others as well. The Sea from Fotheringay, for sure.

Nothing makes me cry as such but a couple of songs that do effect me emotionally and put a definite lump in my throat are "After Everything" by the Church and "Brundisium" by Augie March. Both these came out at a fairly similar time and I did wonder then if I would start becoming more emotional about a wider range of music, but no, it hasn't happened as much as I thought it might. Seeing "Brundisium" live, which has happened a few times, is a very strange experience for me because of this effect.

The last song that brought a tear to my eye was Steve Kilbey's 'Maybe Soon', cos it reminds me of my daughter's twin that I lost when I was pregnant. Apart from that I also get very emotional if I here Frank Sinartra's 'My Way', because even Frank couldn't sing it as soulfully as my Dad used to. My father passed away over 24 years ago, but it's still his song as far as I'm concerned. The third song that makes me cry is 'Music Was My First Love', cos this was definitely written for my Mum who's also no longer with us. She lived for music and the pleasure it brought others, and although she left this world very suddenly just over two years ago, she was singing and dancing on the day she went!

I'm watching the Leonids meteor shower and listening to Forget Yourself. "Maya" just came on and it made me feel so insignificant...I hope I've made a positive influence on someone in my lifetime? I really don't want to leave a friend or stranger hangin' on...Looking into space can be so lonely sometimes...

yes glow worm is great: "you're so easy lo love , so easy to let go...".HOB is anyway a great album.
"June" is also a very moving song.(Forget Yourself album 2003).
