I just want to say that without Apple computers my life would have been very different, they have enabled me to do so much, and to learn many things.
The products he made possible made many things possible, I don't know if Timothy Berners-Lee would have created the world wide web and HTML without a Next computer, but I'm sure that creating that in a Next was much easier and pleasant (and I say it as someone who did use, albeit briefly, a Next computer, they were really advanced and faster than everything else available at the time).

Steve Jobs was a very influential figure, it's a sad things that he's now gone. Has anybody been following this incredible Lake Vostok- thing? One of the largest lakes in the world is under the Antarctica. Now russian scientists will soon drill through the thicker ice and reach the lake under the 2 mile ice cap. What will happen then is a mystery. Will 1 million year old unspoiled water with 50 times the oxygen levels of ordinary fresh water have strange qualities?

Thieves have struck again in the virtual world Habbo Hotel. Finnish police are investigating up to 400 cases of theft, with some members reporting the loss of up to €1000 (£840) worth of virtual furniture and other items, according to Detective Sergeant Marko Levonen. "We have done five home searches in five cities in Finland," he said. This is not the first time Habbo Hotel, which allows users to meet friends and buy virtual goods, has been targeted.

Labour - Sort of like old conservatives but more dishonest because they should be socialist. Currently in power with an idiot at the helm.

Conservative - Same old right-wing bastards but with a sheen of "compassion". Currently opposition but with a suit full of shit at the helm.

Liberal - Sort of closer to old Labour but more muddled. Currently no where but with a guy who is like the new kid in class everyone ignored until they discovered he can get some great drugs.

There is a debate tonight with Brown, Cameron and Clegg. Clegg has surprised everyone by actually existing. The Liberals have been in a political wasteland for decades and decades. All of a sudden Clegg has arrived and speaks enough sense to make politics almost watchable.

Bizarre times indeed.
