Hello all, I just have a quick question about a couple of the venues on the upcoming tour...I'm definitely going to either the Cleveland or Atlanta show (I'd love to do both, but I'm too damned old for that much driving), and I was curious about the Winchester and the Center Stage. Anyone here been to either of these places? I'm leaning towards Cleveland because of the R&R HOF, but if the bar is in a bad part of town, has bad acoustics etc... I'd hate to drive that far (100 mi. further than Atlanta).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Joey

Finnish love metal band HIM has released a new album "Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice, Chapters 1-13". They got the #1 spot in the US hard rock charts so it´s not some esoteric stuff and maybe I can plug it here too. Pretty poppy album even by their standards, which meant that I was able to listen it entirely. What was a nice surprise is that the album has a limited version with acoustic versions of every song and it´s really excellent! Acosutic album has, of course, an additional pretentious title: "Baudelaire in Braille". They sure like their titles long and fun. If HIM is at least somehow familiar to you and you plan to listen the new album then I definitely recommend getting the version with the acoustic album. You won´t regret it as it´s even better than the original. It was a revelation to hear the whole...

I work out at a gym several mornings per week. The most convenient time for my workouts coincides with a fitness program for Korean and Vietnam era veterans, so the gym's satellite radio is set to the "best of the 70s and 80s" channel and volume is low. I need some more motivating music and don't have much time to find new and interesting music. If I asked my real-life friends, I'd either get 80s hair bands (eww) or Lady Gaga (also eww). Help me, please!

My current listening tends towards The Church (obviously), Radiohead, Elbow, Doves.... but I'm up for anything new and energizing, but not angry, screaming music.
